Healthy Students Make Great Students
LearntobeHealthy.org is an online health science learning site designed to help educators and parents communicate important health concepts to students in grades PreK-12. The site contains comprehensive lesson plans, interactive games and activities, Webquests, student assesments, an individualized Health Log and more. The goal of the site is to inspire students – and their families – to make healthy choices that may last a lifetime.
Who We Are
The Byrnes Health Education Center is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit, opened in 1995 with the mission to educate and inspire people of all ages to make healthy choices.
LearntobeHealthy.org is one of four delivery platforms; our goal is to reach everyone who needs vital health education. The The Byrnes Health Education Center is located in York, Pennsylvania and is a recognized leader in the development and delivery of innovative, high quality, effective health education programs. To date, we have delivered over 7.5 million health education lessons. Our four delivery platforms are as follows:
- Onsite in our five teaching theaters
- At school in the classrooms, business and community group locations
- Via live interactive Webcasts utilzing the Center's larger than life exhibits
- Online at LearntobeHealthy.org
Where We're Going
We will continue to update existing content and develop new curricula, activities and games to expand our site. Our hope is that we will be a valued partner in the effort to deliver the knowledge and skills students can use throughout their lifetimes to make healthy choices. These are the health care consumers of tomorrow; let's help them build a healthy future.
