In this independent WebQuest activity, students will navigate the internet to explore how drug abuse affects the brain and body, including how it leads to addiction. Students will also research and highlight risk factors associated with addiction.

Heroin: The Wake-Up Call
In this activity, students will use their knowledge of opioids to answer clues to a crossword puzzle. Unknown answers can be found using suggested online resources or others available.

Drugs: It Doesn't Ad Up
In this activity, students will identify health risks associated with vaping to create a powerful advertising message that discourages the use of e-cigarettes and other vaping devices. Students in grades 7-9 will identify and create their own vaping facts. Students will describe and identify their school policy on vaping, the consequences of vaping in school and any resources the school offers to help quit vaping.
